The 2025 Awards Season is heating up as we head into March, with celebrities sporting glamorous watches from top brands at the Golden Globes, the Grammy Awards, and other star-studded events.
As the Academy Awards ceremony quickly approaches, we’re taking a look at some red-carpet inspired pieces from our collection that will have you looking famous for your own big nights.
The Golden Globes – January 5th, 2025
Kicking off the awards season, the 2025 Golden Globes featured a great lineup of artists in film and television, but our eyes were on the wrist game. While there were so many great brands showing up, some of our favorites came from Richard Mille, Jaeger LeCoultre, and IWC. Let’s check it out.
Richard Mille
If you don’t know the brand, you’ve probably seen one of your favorite artists or athletes wearing one. Known for pushing the boundaries and creating some of the most lavish and out-of-this-world timepieces, Richard Mille has set itself apart from the pack in its exclusivity and value. This year, we saw Academy Award-winning actor, Michelle Yeoh wearing an “Intergalactic” RM. Take a look at their collection and you’ll see that many of their pieces seem larger than life.

Currently in stock at DavidSW, we have the RM11-01 Felippe Massa Ivory Edition in rose gold. Developed in collaboration with the famous F1 driver of the same name, Richard Mille set out to create a timepiece like no other that speaks to the racing roots of the brand. The watch features an automatic flyback chronograph movement with annual calendar function. Ivory and rose gold pair up to create a stunning look for those who want to go beyond the horizon.
Jaeger LeCoultre
What’s not to love about Jaeger LeCoultre? The brand has been around since 1833, and their craftsmanship is such that they have often been contracted to create movements for other top-tier brands. Their elegance and commitment to excellence make them a premier brand while they continue to create stunning one-of-a-kind pieces that excite and enthuse even today.

One of Hollywood’s favorites, Andrew Garfield was seen wearing a beautiful rose gold Reverso Tribute Small Seconds with a black dial. The Reverso is a proprietary design of JLC’s that features a flipping case to reveal a second look. Some even feature a second dial on the other side like this one-of-one-hundred, limited-edition Reverso that has both a blue and silver dial. Effortlessly classy, timeless design, and superb engineering all in one.
IWC
The International Watch Company has been making luxury timepieces since 1868. The brand is best known for their aviation watches and has been a pioneer in the use of alternative materials like ceramic and titanium. This year at the Golden Globes, we saw actor, Hiroyuki Sanada (Shōgun), wearing an IWC Portugieser 7 Day 42mm with a Silver Dial.

The Portugieser was originally designed to fit the needs of two Portuguese merchants who wanted a large wristwatch that had the same precision as a pocket watch. For this, IWC created the Portugieser that focuses on legibility and reliability with a larger case design, simple dial, and strong power reserve. This IW5007 features that same 168-hour reserve, with a sport-elegance feel that can go just about anywhere.
The Grammy Awards – February 2nd, 2025
Looking your best at an award show is standard, but when it comes to the Grammy Awards, these full-time entertainers really know how to show up in style. We saw celebrities completing the look with brands like Audemars Piguet, Cartier, and Rolex, proving that when it comes to watches, personal taste, and self expression come in all styles. Let’s take a look!
Audemars Piguet
First up, the British singer-songwriter, Raye, was spotted with an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Mini. AP has been adapting their catalogue to accommodate a growing market for women who wear watches and for those who prefer a smaller case size than the typical 41mm Royal Oak or 44mm Offshore.

This stunning Royal Oak clocks in at 37mm, making it a great option for him or for her. The brushed-finish stainless steel blends perfectly with the ruthenium dial and the diamond bezel provides just the right amount of ice. What’s more, this particular version commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Royal Oak and features a transparent case back showing off a custom “50 years” rotor.
Cartier
Next, we have the time tested and effortlessly luxurious, Cartier. A staple for any awards season, it always makes an appearance, and every time we’re reminded why. The brand feels classic, high-end, and chic; like it was made to be there as the perfect companion to any look. Finneas O’Connel, American musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer, was seen wearing a Tank Louis Cartier in yellow gold with a rich red dial.

The same model is available with a black dial as well, and the watch could not be classier as it features a sleek and simple case design, and a pitch-black, two-hander dial. The watch is strong yet understated and is perfect for a night out or a special occasion. Other than telling the time, the watch only has one other job and that’s making sure you look good.
Rolex
The legendary brand that everyone knows and loves, Rolex has always been a popular choice at any awards show. This year, we saw Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers wearing a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Platinum, reference 116506. The classic motorsport watch has made a name for itself within the collection, often referred to as the “Platona.” With the noblest of metals, Rolex has crafted one of the most sought-after models in the world.

The Daytona is arguably the most popular sports watch ever produced. The platinum version features a beautiful ice blue dial and chestnut brown subdials and bezel. This piece was incredibly well received when released, and we expect it’s here to stay both on and off the red carpet.
When watching the Oscars this year, see if you can spot the watches coming down the red carpet. If something catches your eye, give us a call or talk to us online at DavidSW.com. We have the finest luxury timepieces available, and they can be yours today.
